UTM tags

UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) tags are pieces of text added to a URL. These tags can be used to track metrics and performance of different journeys and/or cases.

Taglayer provides the following four parameters for different types of links:

  • source: The source where the traffic originated from. (In this case always Taglayer)
  • medium: The type of traffic.
  • campaign: Name of a specific email case or journey.
  • content: The type of element that was clicked to generate the URL.

Taglayer automatically adds UTM tags to the generated URLs.

UTM tags are added to generated URLs at three different locations.
